Beyond coaching, Coach Jakim is deeply committed to his community. He offers private and group skill training sessions, as well as full-week summer camps, to help young athletes elevate their game. His mentorship extends to many promising young players, where he provides guidance, support, and inspiration. Coach Jakim is also a dedicated advocate for underprivileged teens, frequently collaborating with the mayor and local organizations to provide basketball opportunities for those in need.

Coach Jakim was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where his love for basketball first took root. He attended Edinboro University, where he made a significant impact on the court, earning recognition as a D2 All-American. Over the course of his 18-year professional basketball career, Coach Jakim has garnered numerous accolades, including multiple championships, regular season and playoff MVPs, Import Player of the Year (POY), and Defensive Player of the Year awards, both in the US and internationally.

Currently, Coach Jakim is the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Westinghouse High School in Pittsburgh. In this role, he not only leads the team to success on the court but also works to instill valuable life skills in his players. Under his leadership, Westinghouse basketball has become a competitive force, and his dedication to developing his athletes is evident in their growth both on and off the court.
